Located at a towering height of 2100 meters above sea level, Chembra Peak is the tallest peak in the Waynad district of Kerala. The peak is quite popular with both trekkers and mountain climbers. The panoramic views of the Waynad district are quite breathtaking and the mountain lake on the top is quite impressive too.

Located at a distance of 22 kilometers from Kalpetta, towards the south-east of Kailash, Kanthanpara Waterfalls is a magnificent waterfall that descends from a height of 30 meters. It is quite small as compared to Sentinel Rock Falls.

A famous Jain Temple located in the region of Kalpetta; Koothamundu Glass Temple is built in the honor of the Jain Saint-Parshawanatha Swami. The temple is decked with thousands of glass mirrors, which imitate the idol placed in this temple. The temple is just 20 kilometers away from Kalpetta and is a beautiful piece of architecture.

Dedicated to Ananthanatha Swami, the Puliyarmala Jain Temple is a wonderful structure famous for its architecture and crafted pillars. The Jain temple is just 6 kilometers away from Kalpetta and is highly venerated sport for Jains. With tastefully crafted entrance doors, carved granite pillars and Dravidian style Stupa with a Lord Mahavir carving on top; it is indeed a delight for art lovers.

A must see for Islam tourists, Varambetta Mosque is located 15 kilometers south-west of Kalpetta. It dates back to 300 years old and is one of the oldest mosques in Waynad district. Basically, this mosque is a location wherein Muslims come together for Salat (prayer).
